Mike's thoughts on The Self Help Zone…
"Through life there are times when the urge to be and act on what you really desire cannot be ignored. It is my belief that in this reemerging drive awaits the nucleus of what a person needs to succeed in all walks of life. The Selfhelpzone.com is a postmodern (internet) vehicle for people who realize that their destination is with others who seek to reach the ultimate in human experience and achievement. It is for this very reason that I have joined this progressive, growth driven organization.
After studying and working in the field of Psychology for over ten years, I have realized how important the knowledge/power relationship is to our world-views. There are countless products and services available via the internet presently, yet none more valuable to our collective well being (adults & kids alike) than information pertaining to the advancement of our communities, businesses, families, and finally ourselves. This is what the selfhelpzone.com delivers every day to people around the world."

Tony Akers Co-Founder tony@selfhelpzone.com tony@selfhelpzone.com West Georgia College University of Tennessee
Tony is the son of former Nashville recording artist Vic Akers. In 1989, at the ripe age of 22, Tony ventured to California to make his mark. An accomplished vocalist in his own right, Tony was intrigued by the booming computer industry, which at the time was really starting to take the world economy by storm. He learned the business from the ground up by taking a position with a southern California firm (National Advancement Corporation) as a sales assistant. Within one year, Akers ascended to a senior sales & marketing position (the youngest to ever do so in the company's history) and went on to set records. Still, something was missing.
These feelings plodded Akers to launch (with no seed capital) Ultimate Knowledge Corporation, (A privately held company) a high-tech Training & Consulting company. After two years Ultimate Knowledge is the number one high tech training provider to the USMC on the West coast.
Tony now hopes to fulfill his life long dream of helping people help themselves through his brain child, SelfHelpZone.com |
