We were driving through west Texas just after dawn out in the middle of nowhere. I'd been watching the only other car, a growing speck, getting closer as they came toward us. Just as they closed on us the driver leaned out and shot a hole in middle of my windshield with what was probably a pellet gun. Some years ago Lucky it was a few years ago. Not too long ago in San Antonio they were blinking their lights at you and if you blinked back they shot at you-not with a pellet gun either. Just one of the reasons we moved on down the road. cak@justpoormisunderstoodyouths.edu

There is a new Texas version of "Survivor" You have to drive a VW round trip from San Antonio to Dallas with a bumper sticker that reads, "I am gay...and I'm here to take your guns away." The first one to arrive back alive is the winner. __________________________________________________
