The Democrats began the practice of using slander and legalistic charges manipulatively. Have you heard of the term "Borking"? I already mentioned the charges against Ed Meese,that had to be dropped, and would never have been pursued had there not been a Democratic drumbeat. Did you see the Thomas hearings? They were a disgraceful attempt to sink someone through bogus allegations brought up at the 11th hour. In Iran- Contra, people were charged with perjury on matters that couldn't be proven were not misrecollections, and harassed with other petty charges, and the Independent Counsel (admittedly a nominal Republican, but a liberal Republican) tried to influence the '92 election through the timing of the release of a report.......
