Robert Rose: Thanks for the nice comments, but no guru here...

I should have just not replied, but it turns out by replying I found out the post was not intended as I took it. So a positive did come out of the reply, at least for me.

It really is not my ego that is coming into play. The days of me doing battle on SI or over. I am just trying to limit my exchanges to only those on SI that prefer as do I, to have cordial exchanges.

On SI, we should be able to not only agree, but disagree as well in a cordial respectful manner.

Go QCOM...<g>

Regards,
LG

Ruffian, lg does have a bit of a fragile ego. But the bottom line is that his work is first rate and a gift to all of us. I
have the most admiration for him. Check out his great thread: market direction discussion. (So happy here.
Thank you qcom! :))
***********************************************************
What makes you so sure it is a fragile ego? Not every good deed on SI threads go unpunished, but I have noticed a pattern. People who make good calls regularly are usually attacked, often in a very nasty fashion. Myself I might have quit sharing my charts with the thread long ago, not because I have a fragile ego, but why share in an environment that is unfriendly? Then again I am not the kind of person who lets a few idiots run me out of town or off a thread. If I was good enough to make great calls regularly ( I'm not ) and was constantly being needled by losers who are jealous I imagine I would be pretty frustrated.

Like you I admire and respect LG's work. Some weeks LG'S Charts and commentary from other people have helped me make money. Other weeks it has kept me from losing money. Ocassionally I have made the right calls all by myself, but I sleep better at night knowing that people who know more than me agree with my calls.

For the sake of keeping up the quality of our our threads I think those of us who benifit from the contributions of people like LG should not only encourage them, but also perhaps we should make an effort to discourage those who are downright nasty and uncivil.
