Michael,

Have you taken a look at the ebusiness consultancies, who have gone from market darlings to dogs in the last few months? Granted, most of them are still too expensive, but they have real businesses, and I think may become very attractive takeover targets to larger & better financed consultancies.

The changeover in technologies that is being led by these companies is real enough, even if it does not change the basic consultancy business model as the market seemed to think not long ago.

Here is the basket of consultancies that I've been looking at:
APNT SCNT PXCM SAPE VIAN MMPT ACOM RAZF OGNC DTPI MRCH IIXL

Even the best of them, such as Sapient or Diamond Tech, are now over 50% off their highs. Razorfish has been crushed to quite cheap levels - the market has now decided there is no money to be made in the creative side of the business.

On the plus side, the business need for their services is real. On the minus side, these business have few assets except their goodwill (which can dry up) and their people (who can walk).

Would you look to do any bottom fishing in this area?
