What I find bothersome is the elitist attitude of those who think they are better than the American public.

America IS its public (for better and worse).

This is not a monarchy (nor an oligarchy).

I am daily impressed with the knowledge and insight of the "average" American.

I am one proud American and I am proud of the American public.
