I agree that AMD should concentrate on milking the current cash cow Athlon range. However, if they slowed the GHz ramp I would be concerned that they were not fully leveraging the marketing benefits of extending their lead over Intel. I suspect there are currently a lot of consumers out there who still think Intel has the GHz lead. The demise of the 1.13 has not been heavily advertised.

is it likely that amd would become a penny stock if dell would announce that they are going to replace all of the intel designs by amds. :-))
