IMO yes, it is key to the success of the internet and enterprise networking over the internet (VPNs).

WCOM just yesterday commented that they will be focusing more on providing VPN services as a way to enhance their business model since they are being barred from making acquisitions. There are big benefits for enterprises to use VPNs but the security of risks can be significant when you think of sensitive data being transported over the internet. That is where companies like ENTU and RSAS come into play.

And then you bring transaction security and e-sigs and you have other very important drivers for encryption and PKI.

As long as there is an internet, security will be a big issue.
