Gopher, if AMD ships 1.5 now (assume they can), that might leave a long while before they move beyond that grade, or at least, it might pressure them to release Mustang > 1.5 for favorable bench comparisons...

I think AMD is pursuing just the strategy you want them to: making LOTS of money. It's unclear that they can sell a 1.5 for more than a 1.2, assuming both represent the top-line processor available...
