<<<and when you go home, you link up to the gas supply line and a fuel cell will recycle your stink to produce electricity to power the house>>>

Sure you read this right? The right type of fuel cell just needs that Carbon-Hydrogen bond to produce electricity. In theory, any combustible fuel could be used, even carbon monoxide. Any gas produced from digestion by any animal could be used as a fuel. If it combusts, a fuel cell can use it as a fuel.
