Comment - when your value depends on the startups you fund in a sector undergoing consolidation and your little ducklings aren't among the handful of gorillas still standing a year later, the legbreakers show up, drag you out back and kick the living beejezus out of you. They are especially nasty when your proud little charges get caught dropping their pants in public like BWAY did today. Just ask the good folks at CMGI. And notice how LDP has done lately investing in communications and CRM software. It's a jungle out there. Get it right and survive. &$^% it up and say goodnight, Gracie.
