JNPR, BRCM, AVNX, GSPN.. well these blimps did make good shorts and have been except for the brief "wednesday bear rally".. You think we stayed short? Not in your life. We might be a little premature but we are expecting long plays in all of these tomorrow.. at least for a good gain until they get rousted again. To determine that you can't short these blimps because of some 'holy sanctity' they having survived into the triple digits is absurd. The nice thing about these are the call options you can short every one of them in the price it would cost to buy 1,000 shares of LSCC or a comparable stock... If you add up the gains in option points for 10 puts in each, the result was mind boggling. So rest assured gang, traders are cashing in BIG TIME going short on this blimps lately and will do once again.. And we will go long on a rally, just like anyone else. WE called a cover on JNPR when it called "uncle" and it just looks to be a nice long maybe at least for one reversal period on Friday.

EXAP was up 18% in the end ..and closed hot (looks very good for more) ..almost bought AGIL yesterday when it had a brief pop and then today but glad I didn't...don't know why it retreated so much, but always have it on radar waiting to "seize" the moment..

EPNY and PLUG held well ..and EXFO proved to me an excellent daytrade ..thanks to whoever posted this one last night...

was waiting for this one and pounced when it was up 5/8 and then ran up another 4+ Message 14521231

Still holding STEC as I'm sure it will rebound soon..grateful only got 100 of MU as a "nibble"..

Updates...We must remember about the reversal periods I mentioned on SI on a long post. What is difficult about updates without a trading forum is emphasizing that if the update is at 10:05 to 10:10 the trade might last until 10:25 the next reversal period.. or much longer depending on the strength of the stock. An MRVC, HAND, or EPNY can have 1 or two trends lasting 3-6 10 or 5 minute bars.. but they might both drop in the doldrums or afterwards. It is imperative to put stops on volatile stocks and essentially all stocks. What is good is that the strongest stocks have a good chance to move higher (VTSS, MCHP) so you know what to watch for the 2 the 3 and the 3:30 reversal period.

Usually but not invariably, a stock that has a morning trigger afer 9:50-10:10 reversal period will repeat that breakout after a consolidation period during the afternoon doldrums (11:30 to 2 or 1:30)..

intraday updates on SI I feel is supremely superior to 2 updates via e-mail. But you MUST track the key market indicators like the nasdaq 100 futures or the DOW SP futures in the time frame after the update.

3:00 and 3:30 are extremely important reversal periods so you must take those stocks that are posted on the earlier updates and put up charts to see if in fact futures are bullish and these stocks are trending positively or just the opposite. In the future I will add 3 or 3:30 update but I was called away for about 75 minutes and by the time I was back I had to reacquaint myself with what transpired.
I saw myself stopped out of AZA which I didn't really want and 2 other trades one of which I did want the third neutral.

We will also be posting more plays in code so please it is imperative you PRINT the user friendly calendar for the upcoming week. I haven't put numbers in the week of October 16 through the 20th since a) we can't have tons of picks and we still have enough with next weeks b) earnings dates are still unconfirmed.

HOWEVER these plays IF THEY LOOK GOOD will be on the daily watch lists (i.e. a play that reports on October 25 can be on tomorrow's watch list if I see it looks in a pivotal position for break out or even break down as a short) That way we won't miss earnings plays that are further out and the dates are really not that important if its two weeks away.
