I'm not sure to what extent improving public schools is about money. I think it must also be about love and enthusiasm and a slew of nebulous factors.

To what extent are private schools superior because they start with a "better" student?

If you took all the lower school kids about to set off to private school and swapped them with all those relegated to public schools, what would the results look like in 12 years?
