People on this thread say : leave the govt out of education but schools like Temple and Penn State charged 450dollars a year tuition as late as 1970 and CCNY in NY was free. The education was just as good as high tuition schools. Unfortunately, tuitions have reached the stratosphere today with the avge annual cost being 20,000 dollars!

Cosmic - we agree..

Do we also agree that not everyone (in this country) has
available to them the same educational resources as
everyone else?

And remember, two uneducated parents start out with one
foot in the grave. They cannot tech their kids about
that which they know nothing about. Adn by virtue of being
un-educated, they subscribe to a totally different way of
thinking. Some of the best people I know come from backgrounds lacking education and money. They fought, and
despite everything, they "made it" in this world.

Anyway, I think we agree, don't really want to argue.. LOL
This is a bottomless pit argument.
