"Lu deal involves new network outside SBC and Ameritech territory."

Could you enlighten me a bit on that?...What area does the LU/SBC deal involve?

I thank you in advance,

Scrapps

1) Project Pronto will be slowly cooled off. SBC already started calling other unrelated investment as Project Pronto.

2)Competition in the ADSL segment is being slowly killed.
"The competitive local exchange carrier (CLEC) sector has fallen on hard times as dozens of carriers spend heavily to fight over minimal market share."

3) Telcos reassert themselves.
"Small phone companies losing ground to telecom giants"

This is going to happen softly and over so long time that when the whole thing is dead people even wouldn't notice the death.

They are doing it in a way that the slaughter will leave no trace. Perfect murder.
