Standardization:
You should see what has happened at our school. Makes me throw up. We received a syllabus for all grades first through sixth that tells what each teacher (not me because I'm "special ed") must teach each day! It doesn't matter what your class knows, it doesn't matter whether they are ready for the next lesson or fast so they can do the next lesson a day early, no they must all be on the same place at the same time. And the pace is ridiculously fast, especially for math so most students will not have mastered "a" before they are shown "b". Also some of the topics are not appropriate developmentally for that age child.
ridiculous.
But teachers are sheep so they all go along with it, though they know it's ridiculous.
Oh well.
Hopefully for my life, I wont have to be there past June.
