SNAP2 has begun porting its STB, IFE and Internet application software to Tornado which supports a full range of wired and wireless devices, from set-top boxes, to web tablets, to PDAs and cell phones. Wind River privately demonstrated the SNAP2 software at last weeks' Embedded Systems Conference in San Jose, California in preparation for its announcement of the Tornado® for Internet appliances portfolio earlier this week. ``Companies creating Internet appliances need complete integrated system and application software solutions to get to market quickly,'' said Steve Johnson, vice president of marketing for SNAP2.
