Either they warn, or they just dump the bad news on the market cold turkey

I have been wondering about that. Any idea what is the etiquette on warning or not warning? I recall many huge misses in the past without any warning at all, so it obviously isn't legally required. Maybe it's prophylactic against class actions? (although the rhythm method has never been considered very reliable).

This could be important, because I honestly can't see any point in warning in the present climate. If stocks get cut in half for the slightest shortfall even when they warn, what's the point of bothering? They might as well just get it out in the regular announcement.

So I think maybe we are going to have more fireworks just when we (or J6P anyway) think it's safe to go back in the water.
