Thanks for the run-down Neo.

I started reading through the social security web-site and stopped because it was aggravating my headache. Suffice it to say, yes your spouse does get benefits under certain circumstances.

What astonishes me is, it's YOUR money! The government should at least give your family what you put into it. Here, you've been putting away at least 7% of your income for potentially 45 years and it's not really yours.

What if you had no wife, but had 6 children who were grown struggling with family financial problems. Does any of your retirement money go to help then? Heck no!

It's a total rip-off broken system! Which only a blind socialist could defend.

George Bush should HAMMER home this point during the next debate. It would ring loud and clear to people if he did.
