Possible, but I think the track record is built on more than that. The Battleground poll is bipartisan, and tends to be similar to Portrait of America, and Zogby has lately been more skewed to Gore. But I am not sure who has the best polls of the individual states, at this point, which is why I don't quite know what to check on or say.

I forgot to comment specifically on NBC. Yes, I think that most states are too narrow to call, even at this point, when the two candidates have been seesawing back and forth in a statistical tie, and even those who express a preference often say they could change their minds. Also, they are throwing in "lean to", which are really razor thin. It is still too close to call.......
