Sometimes on CNBS they're very up front. Today, the Nasdaq spokesmodel came right out and said it.

Companies, we don't care what your calendar Q3 earnings numbers are. They won't help you. They can hurt you, but they can't help you. We assume they're good. They'd better be.

We think that every tech company is in trouble right now, that your sales are down and your Q4 numbers are going to be lousy. If you don't vigorously reassure us during your next EA we're going to give you a haircut that will include most of your head.

It couldn't have been more plain. CNBS is usually BS, but I think that in this instance that was the voice of the market talking.
