Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I was under the impression that drunk driving in england (or specifically london) is a crime punishable by up to a year in jail for the first offense. With the result that NOBODY takes the chance. I think I might like to see that sort of law here too. ------------------- more generally, drunk driving is not a victim-less crime, and as such is an area where imo the state should be allowed to impose limits, or do whatever is necessary to combat it effectively.
