I think those anti-tech folks have got something. They keep stress at bay better than Tom's covered call formula. Slow motion war.... Have you ever seen the PBS special on Massada? Jews had a redoubt high on a bluff. Stocked it with enough supplies to last something like 9 years. The Romans treed them....started building an earth ramp to ascend the HUNDREDS of feet (maybe more than 1000') of vertical. It makes our modern interstate ramps look dinky. After 3 YEARS the ramp got close and the Jews saw the writing on the wall. Mass suicide. With time like that to ponder your fate, it's no wonder they fleshed out the finer points of our Maker.
