Yahoo earnings are predicted to be excellent. That indeed could light a fuse. The market is looking for any excuse to start the overdue buying. There's so much irrational pessimism. Fear of fear itself really. There's nothing fundamentally wrong with the economy that can't be absorbed and interest rates might even start coming back down. Also look for a post-election rally once the uncertainty about who's leading the coutnry is over.
