Highlands Insurance Group - HIC ($9.25) - is the insurer. It was spun out of Halliburton in 1996. Very small firm with no reinsurance. They claim to be indemnified by HAL - interesting! only $318m in shareholders equity which will not go very far with these asbestos claims!

Insured by Highland Insurance, a microcap company they spun off in '96 who disavows any liability and might not even be able to pay.
