Interesting that you raise VIA chipset topic since the_crazy_doug is so hung up on the compatibility issue. By all indications, VIA chipsets are not as solid/stable/compatible as Intel chipsets but have about half the chipset market as you suggest and I have seen blurbs that suggest VIA could get to even higher share later this year.
