In the journal this am they had a write up with the analyst who downgraded T. One of his valid point, which I forgot about, is the buy out of ATHM @ $40+ a share from Comcast & Cox??. At todays prices this is a $2.5 billion contingent liability. Under my memory of Financial Accounting Standard 5 regarding contingencies this has to be reserved for. I assume T set up some last quarter but more should be on the way. Maybe this is the last shoe to drop before entering a position.

I only skimmed the article but maybe a little more caution is waranted. At the same time if they break the company into pieces it should be more valuable than todays level (of course maybe not in todays market).
