agree Mike, that VIX number was a huge red flag, and sent me short a bunch of high flying rubbish, all of which I have now covered.
I am saving a bundle of cash for Monday in case we don't bounce, but am starting to scale into long positions here. We may not get even to 30 at this point, and waiting for the bottom is sometimes as dangerous as catching those falling knives!
I have to look at history, with an election rally always in the cards, and Greenspan who in his infinite wisdom always tweaks money supply at the right time to save the Titanic. I just don't see that Tsunami coming quite yet, although come it will!
If I'm wrong, I will have plenty of ammo to pick up the pieces.

mm - the eomotion is getting to you. There was no big fall this afternoon and the market is closed no Monday.

Even I am saying calm down a bit. QCOM isn't doing badly given the current market so whats the panic?

End of the World again?

The vehmence with which the doomsayers feel they need to see the market slump is very worring. These tormented souls must need somethign to be carrying on like an entire village of Jeremiahs. And if the market does slump as much as you and others prdict, well the financial system will buckle under the strain and tnes of millionsof jobless and a hundreed million Europeans out of a job, War in Eastern Europe and in the Far East. Draft for millions of young men. Food rationing.

No I don't laugh at bad news but the dire predictions of the level to which you expect to see the market drop will cause some of the above. This is already one of the biggest market slumps in history. If it really turns into the worst then mmore of the above will come true...so why worry, cash will be frozen anyway so you will end up like the rest of us.

Best regards,

L
