Something of interest to the thread. Infineon claims Rambus SDRAM, DRDRAM infringe its patents.

The Munich-based Infineon, spun off from
Siemens AG in 1999, charged that Rambus used Infineon patents
in its RDRAM designs that were passed to all other Rambus
licensees. Infineon is citing pre-existing invention and art for both
synchronous DRAMs and Direct RDRAM before Rambus ever
applied for its patents.

Scumbria:

My field work causes me to agree. I don't own a share of AMD, but the company sure kicked butt this summer out where it counts. Any elaboration re. your view?

Sure glad I got the grunt work done when I did this summer. I posted a fairly heavy piece as to why I felt a heavy short/put stance would prove profitable going into the fall (MB thread, August). It has been delightful so far.

No change in the view at this end re RMBS. (g)

Best, Earlie
