FICTION: Al Gore said he built his Tennessee home with his bare hands.

That's got to be a lie.

Construction workers wear gloves!

Re: "21 Al Gore Lies." Good post. But why stop at 21?

For more on Gore's exclusive private education, and how he squandered it like he'll squander our money and future, see:

1. Gore's high school alma mater, St. Albans school web site, where some of Washington's elite send their children, at: www.sta.cathedral.org/. Tuition this year is $17,421 for day students, and $24,643 for boarding students; and

2. Gore's (and Bush's) SAT scores and Gore's partial college grades at Harvard, at: www.insidepolitics.org/heard/heard32300.html. (Source: Washington Post 3/19/00). "...neither presidential candidate...were shining students during their college days...neither did that well in their college courses. Both earned a mix of B and C grades."

To be fair, Gore got some high grades: an "A-" in "Social Relations" -- sounds pretty tough, eh? More like a Kindergarten class <g> -- and an "A" in "Visual and Environmental Studies" (huh?). He got a "D" in an unspecified "natural sciences course." Oh, who needs to know anything about SCIENCE, anyway, especially if you already know everything about global warming and the environment.

Shouldn't he have done better, given his privileged college preparatory years? I wonder how well he did in law school before he dropped out? How did he get into law school with his grades? The venerable Washington Post didn't dig into those, or maybe chose not to publish it. Their kids go to St. Albans, too, I've heard.

Just out of curiosity, I also wonder how his parents, who he's portrayed as dirt poor, afforded in those days to send him to St. Albans and Harvard? His mother's tips from waiting tables? Oh, maybe they weren't as poor as he likes to claim. Oh, that's right, he's got those millions of dollars in Occidental Petroleum stock in a trust fund. I almost forgot.

Al Gore is as phony as a three dollar bill. But you know what, some people don't seem to care. Utterly amazing.

Al Gore is an effing idiot... you will learn this in two years... these fabrications only reinforce my beliefs about the guy... he is also a micromanager on projects as VP... Carter was also, and never got much done outside the Camp David Accord... Gore will have trouble delegating, just like Carter... Gore demonstrated his spineless vacillating whoring personality last year, and that now seems to be forgotten... Gore cowtows to labor unions, speaking against offshore mfg at reduced cost... Gore dislikes a strong USdollar, reasoning that it hurts american exporters... Gore's tax reform is for 50% added complexity to an already horribly complex code

Gore will lead this country into unprincipled mediocrity and confusion

I vote outside my Democratic roots this time
I dont have much to say about presidential elections
I try to focus on investment implications

lastly, Gore's idea to eliminate the Federal debt by paying it off, is unwise... invest in your people, dont take a tsunami of capital out of the economy... this spring and summer saw disruption to the bond market as unprecedented refunding took place... if however, the refunded bonds put large amounts of cash in the hands of investors, who then turn to the stock market as investment arena, then fine... maybe it will help... I say instead to invest in education, small business, research, etc

Gore sucks, Gore is an idiot, Gore is a liar, Gore is dangerous, Gore for dogcatcher

the best thing I can say about Gore is his choice for VP
Lieberman is a quality man
bold choice to break new ground with his ancestry
what impresses me most is that Gore did NOT choose a mental midget minion like Quayle or Agnew
those choices were INSURANCE AGAINST ASSASSINATION

sincerely, Jim
