Sometime, rent the Canadian film "Heater", low budget, shot in Winnipeg, screened at Sundance and Toronto film festivals.

May have to go to Rogers to find it... at times depressing in it's reality, but IMO just a wonderful movie, incredible acting, great writing, and a beautiful ending.
