if a women hasn't made the choice to abort in the 1st term
A woman may not know she is pregnant for a couple of months, especially if she has irregular periods. The fetal material is only the size of a gain of rice by the second tri.

And WHY do you say this? Why shouldn't it be the woman's choice? Either the fetus is a human from conception or it isn't. EIther it is ok to kill a fetus or it isn't. All this parsing out of times and dates is silly. Of course I understand it is more palatable for people to kill fetuses when they are small- but really, do you want someone raising a child they would like to have killed? I don't. And as for your "all the children can be adopted line"- it ain't so. If people were in really really short supply, and all children who were already born were wanted, and fed and taken care of- I might have more interest in abortion. But quite frankly with the number of abused and unwanted children ALREADY born- I don't care a bit about the aborted ones. If you're religious just think how lucky they are going back to your God.

I am not religious and I still don't care.
