We've had a steady fall for about 5 weeks now. Whether or not there's enough fear is another issue. I don't know what the future will bring but I can rest assured that there are some stocks that are selling at nice prices these days. I won't attempt to be the #1 market timer and declare where the exact bottom is but I will and have started accumulating some companies that I want to own over the next few years. I think Monday and Tuesday could be very ugly next week and, for that matter, all of next week could be down. If YAHOO posts solid numbers on Tuesday, that could be the start of a change in the negativity surrounding the "Tech sector"--I'm growing to hate that term. It's like saying "the Commodity sector"...gee, can't we be more specific than that??? Lumping all software, electronics, semis, internet and computer companies into one group is such a joke...but I digress. I have been dipping my toes in the water but I've also been stopped out of a few positions by being early to the banquet. This is why I've only taken small positions and I won't be loading the boat until we see how earnings play out. I'm not trying to predict the overall market but I am trying to buy good companies at reasonable prices. The market will over react in both directions and we have the lemming effect in full force right now. I won't be crushed by a crash, should the market decide to commit hari kari in the next few weeks.
