Homeseekers auditors raise "going concern" doubt

RENO, Nev., Oct 6 (Reuters) - Internet real estate service HomeSeekers.com Inc. (NasdaqSC:HMSK - news) on Friday said its auditors have questioned whether it can continue as a going concern, adding its name to the list of Web companies with financial troubles.

The auditors' statement, attached to the company's fiscal 2000 earnings report, comes as the company restated revenues and losses for the second and third quarters of the fiscal year after reassessing marketing and advertising revenues, it said.

Revenues for the second quarter were cut to $2.6 million from $2.7 million and for the third quarter to $3.4 million from $4.3 million. Net loss in the second quarter was increased to $4.8 million from $5 million, but its third-quarter net loss was lowered to $5.7 million from $5.1 million.

For its fourth quarter of fiscal 2000, ended June 30, the company reported cash used in operations of 27 cents a share vs. 19 cents a share in the same quarter one year ago.
