I wasn't able to go today - but went a few weeks back and I must say, they are quite impressive. I can't believe Don would go out on such a limb (epense wise) without something in the works ... and something big. The offices were bustling with activity and everyone was wearing a big smile. So much excitement and optimism ... something must be happening.

All: I went to the new website and tried out the banking demo. It was pretty good. Tried a number of negative tests such as speaking rapidly, changing accent, levels, missing digits, etc. I have a good bit of dayjob exposure to the technicals of ASR. I have to say, the software and DSP algorithms being used by TSIS are pretty much state-of-the-art. The computer had problems where I expected problems to be based on my knowledge of current DSP based ASR algorithms. I didn't sit on the phone hacking for a long time but in the fifteen minutes I played with it, I didn't find anything I would classify as a bug. I'll spend more time over the next days and weeks probing the demo for bugs. should I find any, I'll forward them to the technical folks at TSIS.
