Agreed it is a good strategy IF you do not mind owning the stock -- if you do not get the stock, then you pocket the money. We just look at it differently. I never write naked puts unless I feel we are near bottom because I do not want to own the stock. -- OK if you want to build a portfolio and the stock does not drop significantly below the strike price. I try to guess bottoms so as to collect premiums. You are probably OK with SUNW strike at 100 as long as there is no major melt down. GH
