Oil could be a Short Play soon, actually I tend to think it is now.

But that won't help us this Winter. I think it is too late for that.

But the real cost of Oil is so far less than 30 bucks a barrel it is absurd. In any event, as long as the price stays high then the impetus to develop alternative Energy sources is strong. So the cartels that try to lynch the world with high Oil Prices will in the end leave themselves back in a sandy duststorm, as alternative Energy gets economical to develop and implement.

It would take a decade, of course, but being held hostage by the Middle East isn't sound economics for the global economy.

Having said that, I have no funny cartoons bookmarked on this machine for a snappy closer. So G'Night, Mrs Calabash, wherever you are.
