"...The nurses in the hospital even asked how the hospital compared to the States..."

You know, the sad fact is that all the commotion is being caused by the lack of doctors, technicians and particularly nurses, and not by lack of facilities or equipment. All the beds are empty and the equipment is idle.

This weekend, Royal Columbian hospital right here in Vancouver had to cancel heart surgery for lack of perfusionists. Nuts. All this stuff is happening within city limits of in the second biggest city in Canada, not out in the sticks.
