It's like a veal stew, with bones.

Osso bucco----absolutely yummy!

I just made it a couple of weeks ago.
It's veal that is slow cooked in a stew-like
fashion, either in a tomato based or more
stock based sauce. The veal is called the knuckle
or shank and has a round bone with marrow in it.

Classically served with saffron risotto.

The same treatment can be done with lamb.
