Btw, here's a question..

Given that this has been 2nd worst year in the past 11 for the US stock market, what effect, if any, will it have on the election.

I'm asking this, in part, because it seems evident that the blood will continue to run in the streets throughout most of October as institutions lock in what remaining profits they have, while also selling their losers in order to capture tax losses.

I've little doubt that November and December will see money flow return to stocks, but it will be too late by then and we COULD see a break of the previous lows earlier this year:

Should Bush start hammering Gore, and make the claim that his excessive plan for big government has spooked investors and threatens a return to deficit spending?

Slightly demagogic, but hey... turn around is fair play, right?
