Might I suggest a browse through any decent book on the history of money. Galbraith for a start.

My gang is advised to own at least 5-10% of their portfolio in good gold juniors with proven reserves. Especially if they are Americans.

Gold is the only real money and the U.S. buck is being trashed by your own central bank.

Check out what has occurred back through history (even as late as 1998) to those who owned a bit of the despised yellow metal.
