In 1382, the Archbishop of Canterbury, condemned Wycliffe as a heretic and expelled him from Oxford. However, through a lack of foresight the job did not get done properly.

This oversight was corrected in 1415. The Council of Constance reviewed Wycliffe's heresies and ordered his body disinterred and burned.

THAT CERTAINLY MUST HAVE BEEN PLEASING TO GOD. Not quite the same as the original, but better than nothing...

Do you remember that scene in History of the World by Mel Brooks where Moses comes down with the tablets and ends up breaking one? I've tried to watch it several times. It is way too uneven and end's up being rather unbearable in spots. But it does have a few moments.
