Paul,

when Intel preannounced and sited weak European demand, most of you AMDroids called Intel a LIAR !

Indications are that Intel is indeed having demand problems in Europe, because they are losing lots of business to AMD.

BTW: Having it reported that Michael Dell spoke about strong European demand the following day on CNBC, probably didn't help Intel's credibility either.

Paul,

Presumably, the bad news was upsetting to Michael Dell for many reasons, not the least of which was the fact that only two weeks prior, Mr. Dell reassured the investing public that all was well in the PC business, specifically in Europe.
