Your message implies that company management is the cause of the downturn. I see no evidence to support that. With the company, and its industry, experiencing an unprecedented boom in business, it is clear that the stock's slump is due to macro-economic events which are completely beyond the control of any one company's management.

As for when to buy, forget price targets. That is just guesswork. In the last two downturns, buying when the company had a layoff worked well, but we are a long way off from that, IMO. (No guarantees, of course.)

I understand from previous posts that KLAC mgt and Analysts are untrustworthy.

If it is KLA's management's credibility from the past that is an issue (again), I guess I wonder if they have taken the time to learn how to do "earnings management". (By this I mean....smoothing out the revenue flow when you know that your business is cyclical. When to recognize revenue for example.)

You have to wonder about the analysts that follow this company. To allow KLAC stock to get to $97.75 this year and not realize that the business is/might be cyclical (to some extent at least) seems nearly criminal. Of course, I realize that they were likely trading KLAC for their "high net-worth individuals" -- and getting in early and, of course, getting out at or near the top and buying PUTS. Pulling the plug in a sense.

It is no wonder some middle class Americans get frightened by trying to pick individual stocks. I guess that's why mutual funds were invented.

I didn't want to get off on a rant here....but I think possible collusion and/or mismanagement by KLAC and the analyst community is serious business. Oh, and BTW I'm not a lawyer just a lowly Software Engineer.

I'm still standing by my $36.25 support.

Ok...I'm just trying to be optimistic. So we a bit below it right now...but close enough for government work.

The OBV tech indicator trend is beginning to diverge from the price of the stock intra-day as well as the money flow. All very constructive for a (short term) bottom.

For Candle Stick fans....the candles intra-day are "showing alot of leg".
