There was no mention of Dell in either article you referenced.

Plus I wonder how many of them will be P4 RDRAM based.... ROTFLMAO

If the Navy is wasting money on 400,000 P4/RDRAM computers, this would be a fairly typical abuse of taxpayer dollars. Money for nothing is OK for the private companies who make their own decisions, but it will not be taken lightly when the government starts spending our money frivolously.

Nevertheless, the purchase is spread ot over five years, which gives Intel lots of time to complete their DDR chipsets.
