Everyone is saying we haven't hit bottom yet which says to me we have hit the bottom. Believe it or not, there have been rallies over the past several years that started without a dramatic sign of capitualation. Regardless, there is already plenty of blood on the streets.

Les the writer of this article fails to notice another factor similar to fear and that is the IV (implayed volatility) of option pricing.IV has almost doubled in the last 2 weeks.

In other words those writing option are quite fearful and they fully hedge themselfs that is why may be the VIX is misleading.

Aside most speculation was in Tech stocks and there the the QQQ VIX may tell a different story.

The VIX mentioned is the OEX which is also representative of 100 stocks on all 3 exchanges.
