I'm going to try to come back at this without becoming vituperative, but that may be difficult to do. I* was a superior service...: Right you couldn't receive calls in Brazil, couldn't use the phone in Africa. Works Great! I* had only ONE backer...: ONE SERIOUS BACKER, none of the heavy weights on board with G, like LOR, DCX, LMT (now unhappy), ALCATEL I had complete Global coverage...: Right BUT IT DIDN'T WORK THAT WELL, so what's the difference? I* is priced comparably to G: Right if you just ignore the pricing at the comparable time in the product cycle. I starts at $3K and finally winds up @ $1100; G* STARTS at $1495 and goes to $495 (for now). Big difference. Rates at I* were $7/min to start, G's were $3/min. G's now $.73 at the lowest with more room to grow. But then again, it's moot, cause I* is happily dead and gone. More subs for G*. That's what we need.
