SanDisk's identity crisis...

One of the recurring problems with this stock IMO is that the investor community doesn't know what it is. Investment websites aren't helping with SNDK's identity crisis either. Examples:

Yahoo! Finance and E*Trade - list SNDK as a part of the Computer Storage Devices industry group along with dinosaurs like Seagate, Maxtor and Read-Rite.

biz.yahoo.com

etrade.com

Bloomberg.com - puts SNDK as part of the Computer Memory Devices group...

quote.bloomberg.com

...while Bloomberg TV lumps SNDK into the Net industry group. Huh? (Watch the ticker...)

CNBC.com - includes SNDK in the DSO group for Computers/Software, which also includes Oracle and BEA Systems(!).

host.cnbc.com

Computers and PC's are certainly not the sector to be associated with right now, however, each of these websites lumps us in with the PC world. SNDK represents an investment in the post-PC future and would be better categorized as a speciality semiconductor stock IMO.

SNDK Investor Relations should do some work to straighten this out...
