Investor may make $3.3B Conseco bid Reversing his course, corporate raider Irwin L. Jacobs has reportedly mounted a $3.3 billion takeover bid for beleaguered Carmel financial services company Conseco Inc. After amassing nearly 11 million shares, or a little more than 3 percent of the common stock, Jacobs told IBJ May 24 he had “complete and total confidence” in Conseco’s interim management, led by David V. Harkins. There were no plans, Jacobs said, to attempt a corporate takeover. The Dow Jones

Yes, you have proven conclusively that both Sir Winston Churchill and Irwin Jacobs are both very fat men. You seem a little upset, Tunica. What's the matter, the 22.8% drop in Conseco in q3 get you down?

Just wait for the q3 numbers to come out and then you will really be singing the blues. Wendt ain't the most svelt guy in the world either.
