Jon,

REDI won't match odd lot with even lot orders on its internal order book and when going out to ISLD or ARCA it verifies that it can fill full lots from there. Those occasions where you still end up with an odd lot happen when e.g. in between the time that REDI determines to send your order or parts of it to ISLD and the time it hits there someone else's order has already removed that liquidity and only an odd lot is left behind. I've never bothered to measure it, but I would estimate that for me the occurrence of odd lot fills with REDI orders is less than 1 in 200.

Unfortunately, the market does not offer atomic transaction with rollback capability <g>
